UCHEALTH CU SPORTS MEDICINE - COLORADO CENTER
The Colorado Center is a referral site for primary care providers at the University of Colorado and in the community. Services such as musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections management of acute/chronic sports injuries, consultation with orthopedists, PM&R specialists and athletic trainers, and other procedures such as Tenex, PRP, and exertional compartment pressure testing are incorporated into the training experience.
University of Colorado Training Room – CU/TR
UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO CHAMPIONS CENTER - BOULDER, CO
The UCHealth Champions Center was completed in August 2015 and is a high-tech athletic training center featuring the latest in Sports Medicine equipment. Fellows work closely with the football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse athletes throughout the year, but will see athletes from all sports in this training room clinic. Fall is peak season.
University of Colorado Family Medicine - AFW
UCHEALTH AF WILLIAMS FAMILY MEDICINE CLINIC
The UCH AF Williams Family Medicine Clinic is a primary care clinical site for the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency program. Fellows work with primary care sports medicine faculty during dedicated sports medicine clinics. This site serves as the continuity clinic for fellows with primary board certification in Family Medicine.
Winter Park Medical Center (Denver Health) - WP
DENVER HEALTH WINTER PARK MEDICAL CENTER
The Winter Park Medical Center is located at the base of the Winter Park Ski Resort (about 1.5 hours from Denver). All acute trauma and medical injuries are triaged by ski patrol and brought to the medical center, as needed. The volume and management of acute trauma and orthopedic injuries during this month is robust. Fellows will treat acute medical issues including acute myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, high altitude pulmonary edema, and many others. Rotation Months: February/March/April (approximately 15-20 shifts per fellow). Fellows complete Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) prior to the rotation. Direct supervision is present 100% of the time while working at the medical center.
Minor Fracture Clinic (Denver Health) – MFC

Denver Heath Minor Fracture Clinic is a high-volume pediatric fracture clinic located within an underserved, diverse patient population. Fellows work with Denver Health primary care sports medicine faculty and receive exposure to imaging review, fracture management (x-ray located onsite) and application of splints/casts. Ortho technicians are available for assisting with casting.
Children’s Hospital of Colorado Sports Medicine Clinic - CHCO
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL COLORADO SPORTS MEDICINE CENTER
The CHCO Sports Medicine Center specializes in providing comprehensive medical treatment and rehabilitation of young athletes with sports related injuries. Physicians provide care for toddlers to young adults with fractures, concussions, and overuse injuries at multiple locations throughout the Denver Metro Area, including Aurora, Broomfield, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Wheatridge, and Parker. Fellows work with primary care sports physicians, orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and sports dietitians to provide care for young athletes.
University of Colorado Foot & Ankle Center – F&A

The Foot and Ankle Center is a dedicated clinic for lower extremity injuries and includes providers from Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Podiatry and Orthotics. It is home to our gait lab where fellows review gait evaluations and make treatment recommendations based on findings. Procedures performed at this site include ultrasound guided joint injections and nerve hydrodissections, PRP, shockwave therapy and compartment pressure testing.

The Sports Medicine and Performance Center is located within the Champion Center and is a unique partnership between the CU School of Medicine and Boulder Community Health. The center serves the very active Boulder community which includes high level professional and recreational athletes. Procedures performed here include ultrasound guided injections, EMGs and fluoroscopic injections.

The CU Spine Center in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is the continuity clinic site for fellows with a primary board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Continuity clinic includes ultrasound guided procedures, EMGs and new patient visits.

Steadman Hawkins is a state-of-the-art sports medicine center with diverse orthopedic surgery specialties, primary care sports medicine, orthotists, on-site physical therapy, and radiology. It is a referral site for primary care providers at the University of Colorado and in the community.
Fellows will strengthen their skillset in diagnostic ultrasound scans, ultra-sound guided injections along with the management of acute/chronic sports injuries. Additional procedures include Tenex, carpal tunnel releases, ultrasound guided fasciotomies and PRP are incorporated into the training experience.

UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital (University Hospital) is a Level I trauma center serving the Denver/Aurora metro area with over 100,000 patient visits per year. It is also the primary teaching hospital for the University of Colorado School of Medicine. It is internationally renowned for innovation in ED flow, operations, and experience. The Emergency Medicine Department is the continuity clinic for fellows with primary board certification in Emergency Medicine.
