Student Success Transformation Initiative
Overview
CU Denver worked during the 2024-25 academic year with the National Institute for Student Success (NISS) to consider new ways to strengthen our approach to student well-being, academic success, and career readiness. NISS provided recommendations for maximizing efficiencies and excellence in CU Denver’s student support frameworks.
Now, we are building upon our strengths and NISS recommendations to provide proactive, coordinated, and scalable support in critical areas of first-year experience, advising, data use, and student communications. CU Denver's Student Success Transformation initiative with a May 2025 Town Hall, and the initiative has continued with four working groups meeting since then. A university-wide Community Conversation on these topics was hosted Oct. 6, with further progress efforts continuing throughout 2025 and 2026.
